Privacy policy

The short version

This website collects the minimum needed to reply to you. It deliberately does not collect health information of any kind, and it never sends anything you type to advertising platforms.

What we collect when you use a form

The inquiry and event forms on this site collect your name, your email address, optionally your phone number, which service you are interested in, how you heard about us, and whatever you write in the message box.

We ask you not to include medical information in that message box, and the forms never ask about conditions, medications, diagnoses, weight or lab results. Clinical information is handled inside the practice, under separate agreements, and not through this website.

What happens to a form submission

Submissions are stored securely by Cloudflare, our website host, and emailed to Sozo Wellness using Resend, an email delivery service. Both act as processors on our behalf. We keep submissions so we can respond to you and maintain a record of enquiries, and we delete them when they are no longer needed.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, in aggregate. It records things like which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked. It never receives anything you type into a form, and it never receives health information.

We also set a first-party cookie called sozo_attr, which lasts one year and records how you first arrived at the site, for example from a search engine or from Instagram. It contains no personal information and is used only so we know which marketing is actually working. A companion cookie, sozo_attr_last, records the most recent visit source.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time. The site works normally without them.

Links to other services

This site links out to Fay, for insurance-based nutrition booking, to Fullscript, for supplements, and to Instagram. Those services have their own privacy policies and we do not control what they collect.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your information.
• We do not send health information to analytics or advertising platforms.
• We do not run advertising pixels on this site.
• We do not add you to a mailing list from an inquiry form without asking.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@sozowellnessco.com and we will take care of it.

A note on health information

This website is a marketing website. It is not a patient portal and it is not covered by a HIPAA business associate agreement, which is exactly why it does not collect clinical information. If you are an existing client, use the channels I have set up with you for anything clinical, not this website.

Changes

If this website starts collecting or using information differently, this page changes with it.
